They're not your usual party animals.

The six major Vampire Clans (Brujah, Toreador, Ventrue, Malkavian, Nosferatu, and Gangrel), all sworn to uphold the Masquerade and the status quo in the days before Gehenna. With the awakening of the Antediluvians and the chaos and destruction of Gehenna now two centuries behind us, the leaders of most clans are dead. Within the former Kingdom of Enoch, the high concentration of Vampires means that clan membership is still somewhat important. Outside Enoch, the clans ofthe Camarilla are all considered part of the Black Hand, an organization of vampires dedicated to serving the Antedilivuans and vehemently opposed to the Sabbat. However, with Sabbat leader Mordred as the only living Antediluvian (Malkav and Tzimisce don't count; one's irredeemably insane even by Vampire standards, and the other is now one of the Soul Eaters of Fieras VI), the Black Hand are currently leaderless and adrift, breaking back up into clans and subclans as they are driven back into hiding by attacks from Crusader Teams and the Sabbat.
