Magick has a nasty habit of messing with your head.

Correspondence Portal is the term given for when a mage opens a connection point between two distant (relatively) points in order for objects and people to pass through. The power of this spell is rather intense and so only highly trained mages specialized in that field can perform it.

Research into this incredibly useful magick ability has led to jumpgates, the discovery of hyperspace, and the more obvious transit beacon.
