Operation Sunscreen was a plan to build a giant sun shade in space in the Fieras system to block out all sunlight reaching the planet, eventually cooling it enough for its atmosphere to freeze solid, hopefully killing all local life forms, particularly Soul Eaters and perhaps even the infestation of Arachnids. Tight resources in the face of the Vin Shriak and Vulthra wars, coupled with doubts that the underground Bug nests would even be inconvenienced by this operation, led to it being cancelled while still in the planning stage.
